Administration

Dr. Jeremy Lewis

Welcome to Bradley Academy! I am honored to serve the students, staff, faculty, parents, and community as the principal of this amazing school! The 2026-2027 school year will be my 20th year in education and 15th year in school administration. As a school administrator, I served as a Dean of Instruction for 1 year, Assistant Principal for 3 years, and Principal for 10 years. I was a teacher or school administrator at the following schools: Bellevue Middle School (Memphis), Bellevue Middle School (Nashville), Cane Ridge High School (Antioch), and Croft Middle School (Nashville).

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from MTSU in 2006, a Master of Science degree in educational leadership from Christian Brothers University in 2008, and an Educational Doctorate degree in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2013.

I believe that all students can learn, and that public education can positively impact and affect all students. As a committed supporter of public education, I believe that it is important to not only close the achievement gap but also narrow the opportunity gap for our students. My primary goal is to provide leadership which will facilitate a positive school environment where all students feel safe and excited about learning. It is my sincere desire to provide opportunities for our students to acquire the skills to become productive, responsible citizens while supporting and fostering leadership capacity in educators.

I have been married for 18 years to my wife, Rachel, whose profession is an ultrasound sonographer. My wife and I are blessed to have 3 children: a 14-year-old son and 12-year-old twin daughters. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, watching sports, and cheering on the University of Memphis Tigers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Tennessee Titans.

I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal of Bradley Academy and to support our students, families, and staff each day. With more than 24 years of experience in education, I am passionate about creating a positive school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.

My career began in Memphis as special education teacher where I developed a deep commitment to meeting the unique needs of all learners. Throughout my career, I have served as a preschool teacher (Memphis City Schools) special education teacher K-6 (Memphis City Schools & Murfreesboro City Schools) and RTI coordinator(Murfreesboro City Schools). These experiences have strengthened my belief that strong relationships, effective communication, and collaboration are essential to student success.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tennessee State University, completed my special education licensure at Fisk University, and earned a Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University . I also hold a second Masters in Educational Leadership from Austin Peay State University.

As a school leader, I believe every child deserves a safe, welcoming environment and access to meaningful learning opportunities. I look forward to partnering with our families and community as we work together to help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I have been married to my husband, Larry for 25 years and we have twin sons and a daughter.
